Patong is a popular tourist destination located in the southern part of the island of Phuket in Thailand. As such, it's no surprise that condo prices in Patong are generally higher than in other parts of the island. The prices of condos in Patong can vary widely depending on factors such as location, size, and amenities.
In general, condos located closer to the beach and the main tourist areas tend to be more expensive than those located further inland. This is because these condos offer easy access to the many attractions and amenities that Patong has to offer, including restaurants, bars, and shopping. Condos located on higher floors with panoramic views of the ocean or mountains are also likely to be more expensive than those located on lower floors.
The size of the condo is another important factor that affects the price. Larger condos with more bedrooms and bathrooms are generally more expensive than smaller units. Condos with additional amenities such as swimming pools, gyms, and 24-hour security also tend to be more expensive.
As of my knowledge cutoff in 2022, the average price of a one-bedroom condo in Patong was around 3 million Thai baht, while a two-bedroom condo could cost anywhere from 4 to 7 million Thai baht. However, these prices can vary widely depending on the specific location and features of the condo.
It's worth noting that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the real estate market in Patong and throughout Thailand. Many condo owners have been forced to lower their prices in order to attract buyers, and there has been a slowdown in new construction projects. However, as the world recovers from the pandemic, it's likely that prices will start to rise again in the coming years.
