The fee for obtaining a building permit in Kolasin is 3–4 times lower (average 30 euro/m² versus 90-160 euro/m² near the sea).
Kolasin is popular with tourists all year round: from December to April as a ski resort, which over the past few years has risen almost to the level of European ones, and in the rest of the year as an island of untouched nature, making an indelible impression with its grandeur and pristine beauty. Among the advantages of this city and its convenient location — next to Kolasin is the Bar-Podgorica-Belgrade highway, a railway line passes through Kolasin, connecting the Montenegrin coast with Belgrade, and only 70 km separate it from Podgorica airport. In addition, in 2015, the construction of the Bar-Belgrade autobahn section was started and completed in the summer of 2022, which will take you from the capital to Kolasin in 30 minutes, and the journey to Belgrade will take only 3 hours. The duration of the tourist season in Kolasin is almost 9 months: 3 winter months (skiing + horse trails and snowmobile trips), 3 summer months + May, September and October (rafting, canyoning, climbing, trout and salmon fishing, hunting, horse trails, jeep safari). For comparison, the active season at sea lasts only 3 months.
